Why I Stopped Calling My Work Space An Office

You can change the course of your life with your words.

Hey, Lovelies!

Now that I have begun settling into our new treehouse I have become very aware of the power of words.

One of those words, which has been causing all kinds of wrinkles in my disposition, is the word ‘office’.

I’ve worked from home for thirty years.

I’ve always had an office.

But I don’t want one anymore.

The idea of hustle and work is so at odds with how I want to live now, and this space we are creating for ourselves.

Will I still work with clients? I sure will! Will I still have my Academy and my membership and my Planner? Of course!

I am brimful of ideas to make marvellous things for you all, and so many books to write. And when I think of the word office all of that juicy flow just starts to shut down.

So, I will not have an office in our new home.

I will have a Writing Room.

I will also have a Library. Or maybe I’ll call it the Club Room, because gee, it does have a bar in it, and a cellar, and comfy chairs and a big library table for reading at, or writing…

All of those names fill me with relaxation and optimism and creative zest.

There is so much power in words.

Words have their own special magic.

So, goodbye Office…

Hello, Writing Room!

I can already feel how this energetic shift is bringing positive change. And I wonder, what would happen if you changed the energy of your own world with a few well chosen words that are more aligned with the future you that you wish to be in the world?

Love, sparkles and a small shiver of excitement, Nicole
PS – this was written in my Writing Room. See, it’s working already!

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.
