In terms of habitat, ducks can be found anywhere that is wet.
Hey, Lovelies.
I think you might need to start calling me Ducky!
The rain here at the treehouse has been incessant. At times, it has been cyclonic. Days after days after days of this weather.
Around us, everything is flooding. Again.
Here at home we are safe but waterlogged. Leaks have sprung in the roof, power outlets have failed, and everything is damp and sticky, or covered in a fine layer of powdery mildew, no matter how often we clean.
It’s good weather for ducks, but that’s about it.
I expect to wake up tomorrow with webbing between my toes. At least that would be practical for dealing with all this water.
Stay safe, wherever you are, and have a good weekend!
If I’m not mopping up water or wiping things down I will be writing.
Love, soggy paper, and too many mugs of tea, Nicole xx
Too hot for the season and mostly too dry. I guess the picture of the ducks was made in Freiburg, a city close to me and known for the “Bächle”.
Nicole, I will pray for the rain to stop where you are, and will you pray for us to get rain here in New Mexico in the U.S., please? We have two fires, on either side of us, and one of them has burned almost 300,000 acres, burning homes and threatening wildlife. Thank you.
Judy, I wish I had the ability to simply magic this rain over to you! Thinking of you. Stay safe xx
Cold and wet here but no floods so all ok
