Hey, Lovelies.

We were never given Barbie dolls as children. My mother thought they were precocious and commercial, and did not represent healthy female role models. That was definitely true for Barbie dolls in the 1970s. Thanks, Mum! We grew up just fine without them.

I’ve never aspired to own a Barbie until now.

But I do like this one…

With so many children suffering from anxiety, Breathe With Me Barbie looks like a simple way to teach children basic breathwork and meditation techniques that support positive reframing.

But there’s also another reason I’m loving hard on this plastic doll. I found this post in my Facebook Feed yesterday:

“Yoga Barbie” is at Target on the shelf. Satan always comes as appearing innocent. He will never come with horns and a pitchfork. This Barbie has 5 guided meditations. Remember, Yoga IS Hinduism. You cannot separate the poses from the religion. Each pose is designed to invoke a hindu deity in the spirit realm. I have seen children get possessed by demons. This Barbie also teaches you deep breathing(pranayama). Her pet is also involved. Satan is after the children. He wants to use them and indoctrinate them for his glory. Then, when he is done, he will destroy them. As your kids grow, they will get rebellious, depressed and many will be suicidal. You won’t understand what’s happening as a parent. I’ve been abused and damned to hell often by Fundamentalist Christians, backed up by their Bible quotes from Leviticus and Deuteronomy. So, now it seems that Breathe With Me Barbie and I are in good company.

I’ll confess, I’m a life-long meditator. You’ll find plenty of free guided meditations here on my blog. Not because I’m trying to convert you to Satanism, or Hinduism, but because I believe in the benefits of the practice of meditation. Meditation helps us to calm ourselves, to connect with our hearts and with source energy (yes, that can be God if this is your belief system – meditation is for everyone), to reduce inflammation and stress within the body, and to hear the wisdom within us.

I encourage you to meditate, with or without Breathe With Me Barbie.

Perhaps, while you’re in the meditative state, you might think to flow some love and compassion to Yasmeen Suri, and those like her, spreading their messages of righteousness, ignorance, fear and hate.

The biggest demon most of us struggle with is our own negative thoughts, stress and anxiety. Meditation is a gentle way to help manage or banish those demons.
