There are things that we never want to let go of, people we never want to leave behind. But keep in mind that letting go isn’t the end of the world, it’s the beginning of a new life.

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using The Light Seer’s Tarot by Chris-Anne for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 13. DEATH – REBIRTH. We’re encouraged to let go of what has been weighing us down or holding us back, so that we can lighten our load, and move in new directions.
This week 13 DEATH – REBIRTH energies support a gentle letting go of the things that have been weighing us down.
There doesn’t need to be a struggle or a big dramatic scene. In fact, the very best kind of letting go is one where we decide to let something go with grace and ease.
13 DEATH – REBIRTH reminds us that letting go lightens us energetically. It feels good to let go of the things have burdened us. Whatever it is that is dragging you down, keeping you stuck or sad or sick, be prepared to let go this week. Decide you don’t need to keep thinking about your ex anymore. Decide to stop smoking and then do it. No need to make a big fuss. No need for big declarations or public posts about your decision. Just decide, make a plan, act.
Decide that you don’t need to keep eating food that makes you feel bloated and tired. Then stick to it today. Repeat again tomorrow. And if you mess up? Forgive yourself and then keep going. Decide that you’re going to sing or write or paint or dance just because you want to. Decide to clear your clutter. Decide to let go of thinking you have to do everything yourself.
Decide that you don’t need to stay in a bad relationship. Decide that you don’t need to stay in a lousy job. Decide that you don’t need another family Christmas where everyone ends up fighting. Decide to get a cleaner. Decide to get your tax done. Decide to see the doctor.
Letting go is an act of empowerment. When we let go, and remain empty for a while, better things come and fill the void we have created because as we lighten our energy from the letting go, things of a lower vibration will no longer be in alignment and we’ll stop attracting them. Letting go in one area often brings opportunities, miracles and advancement in another.
So this week, lighten up by letting go!
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead: Take some time to get out into nature – a walk or even sitting at a cafe or an open window or doorway drinking in the weather. Stop thinking about yourself, and let yourself be comforted and supported by the elements – the sun, the night sky, a breeze or the rain, the moon, the heat, the cold, the sound of birds or crickets or cicadas. Breathe it all in. Let it calm you. Then, when you come back to yourself, take three centering breaths and ask yourself What is it time to let go of? and pay attention to what comes up. Act on that information.
Stuck with knowing how to help yourself, or what to do next? Maybe you need a session with me to bring some extra clarity and direction. Details here

What’s happening in my world?
On the weekend I attended a small online watercolour class. Art is something I have had a fraught relationship with, after being publicly shamed out in art class in year eight, to the point where it was suggested I choose a different elective. (I did – accounting, which was even more miserable!)
I was nervous to attend the class – because I am a complete beginner, and I had to message the teacher to find out what kind of brushes and paper I needed. But the class was surprisingly stress-free and relaxing, and it ignited within me a desire to play with watercolours more, just for the fun of it.
Here’s my little fairy wren. The colours aren’t true to the little bird, but I am happy with this as my first effort. (Yes, I know I signed it with an American-style date – I’ve been working on spreadsheets for most of the week that use the American date system, and it snuck onto my paper…)
What did I do to get back into exploring creativity with art? I said YES to trying something new.
To do that I let go of my belief that I am not visually creative, I let go of my fear of sounding or looking stupid stopping me from attempting to make art, and I also got comfortable with being a complete beginner and having to ask questions and show my ignorance. I was still nervous and outside my comfort zone, but I’m so glad I was able to expand my possibilities and find something new to explore.
I wonder, as you let go of things this week, what opportunities and possibilities will open up for you?
Love, art brushes, fluffy birds and hugs, Nicole xx
Thank you, truly needed this today. When I was in 2nd grade, I was called up in front of the class, I was told
to stop singing. I was heart broken. Needless to say, I sing loud and clear whenever I feel like. It is hard to
let go of X’s, family that has hurt you, but today, reading this, I think it is time. xo
Thank you so much for this amazing post
Thank you Nicole. Beautiful encouraging and hopeful post
