Ouch! That hurt!

Hey, Lovelies.

It’s been a week. I picked up another infection that has required daily antibiotic IVs. That certainly was unexpected, and slowed me down quite a lot.

But yesterday I was feeling better. So much better. The heavy duty drugs were working their magic. I felt pretty good.

So, I sat on my deck with a coffee, getting ready for a day of connecting with some of my Inner Circle, and for packing more orders.

And then…

BANG!

A rhinoceros beetle flew hard and fast straight into the side of my face, colliding with my left eye.

Off I went to the local hospital emergency department.

The beetle certainly did some damage. A hematoma on my eyeball, a puncture wound in my eye and an abraded cornea. Ouch!

The emergency department staff know me well.

When the doctor on duty saw me clutching my eye and asked what happened, and I told him a giant beetle impacted my eye he just laughed, and said, “Of course it did, Nicole.”
I mean, it’s ridiculous. A total freak accident. But yes, it was my freakshow. That seems to be my thing.

I’m home, I’m sore, and I have new drugs.
Excellent.

For this of you unfamiliar with the rhinoceros beetle here is an example.

I don’t recommend running into one with your face. They are brutes!

Still, I got to hold my carnelian palmstone some more and meditate the pain away.
