“Find a moment of stillness, give your heart a chance to tell you where you really need to be.”
— Dodinsky
Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using the Sacred Destiny Oracle by Denise Linn for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is PURIFICATION.
2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.
July encourages you to focus on your habits and processes – the steps that take you closer to your projects, goals and dreams. It’s a supportive month of creative flow, opportunity, and abundance. Embrace connection, and celebrate your milestones no matter how small or big they might be.
PURIFICATION
We all do it – we take short cuts, we forget to care for ourselves, we choose ease and convenience instead of more healthy ways to nourish ourselves. This week’s energies ask us to reassess. Where in your life do you need better nourishment?
Sometimes in life you have to take responsibility for nourishment into your own hands. A diet of junk is never going to fuel your brain or help your body function or heal.
But it’s not just food that gives us nourishment.
Where in your life can you make changes – to what your watch or read, to the people you hang out with, to the way you move your body, to the activities you choose – that could give you more nourishment for body, mind or spirit?
Sure, you might have to improvise, or do it differently to how everyone else is doing it, but will that matter if the end result is that you have a better quality of inputs in your life?
This week put your physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing back in the spotlight, and do what you can to provide yourself with the kinds of inputs that are comforting, uplifting, healing, encouraging and wholesome.
If it all feels overwhelming, start small. Here are some simple ideas – go ahead and choose one: Hydrate. Get more sleep. Listen to a great podcast. Read a good book. Eat an extra serve of fruit and vegetables each day. Go for a walk. Do your stretches. Go on a social media detox.
Then, next week, keep doing that and add an extra thing in. You’ve got this!
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead
One of the most healing things we can do for ourselves is to tune in to our innate wisdom. So, this week, pull a card asking what you most need right now. Or journal it. Or do some automatic/channelled writing. Sit quietly and let your answers come. Trust that you are guided and what you get will be helpful. Then act on the guidance you receive.

Well, I’m home again after our wonderful time away. Kangaroo Island was an amazing place – I loved the wild wonder of it all, but gee it was COLD! We got to catch up with friends and family, eat some delicious food, and visit with seals, sealions, eagles and owls, kangaroos and wallabies and all kinds of other critters.
Nights were spent around the bonfire, and my early mornings were spent at the kitchen table, rugged up the max and with my headphones on – tuned into my writing playlist – while I banged out some more words for my current novel rewrite. After which we ate breakfast and went adventuring.
So, yeah, my kind of heaven. 💕🥰💖
Now I’m back at my desk, writing and working on courses and our Planner launch for 2025. I love going away travelling, but I’m also grateful to be back in my own bed, and home in my treehouse with my pantry full of staples and a mouse-free kitchen (yes, our Kangaroo Island kitchen had mouse visitors, which meant we had to keep everything up high, and wash everything before we used it – not a major drama, but so nice to not have to worry about that here at home).
One thing I realised while I was away is how much I am missing more regular blogging. I miss our conversations, so, even though I stepped back to focus on my health and to create space for my sabbatical year, expect to hear from me a little more frequently again. In some of my hardest times blogging and meditation got me through, and after 12 years of constant practice I understand how ingrained these routines are. I promise not to inundate you, but I do have some things to explore here on the page with you.
I want to ask you too, how will you nourish yourself this week?
I’m listening to piano music playlists on Spotify right now while I work (one is literally called Music For Writing), and I am finding this deeply nourishing for my soul. I especially love the intimacy of these solo pieces where you can hear the mechanical noises of the piano pedals, strings and hammers, and even the breath of the musician at times.
While I do my morning stretches I am listening to writing podcasts, and I’m doing little hits of colouring in too, using pencils and gel pens when I need a quiet moment of thinking time.
Food? This week I’ll be eating Dirty Rice (my friend’s Dad’s rice and beans recipe), Heal-All Chicken Soup, Green Porridge, my favourite Spinach and Feta Pie, a roast lamb, and some fry-up bowls.
And for my soul? Writing every morning – in my journal and then time on my book, cups of tea in the sunshine, coffee out with friends, and a few beach walks with Ben.
Let me know what you’ll be doing.
Much love, and very big hugs, Nicole xx
PS – a few holiday snaps for you…

A fabulous post Nicole to help recalibrate and rekick start what is a rumble tumble cha cha dance of a year in spite of my trying to be calm and focused and instep and well planned. I have read it many times over and am using your wisdoms to stay the path. I absolutely love the unicorn in the oracle cards at the end of the post. That was like seeing a very old friend. Are you able to share with me the name of the deck of oracle cards. Love and Light ocelyn
Hi lovely Jocelyn, the card is from Doreen Virtue’s Magical Unicorns Oracle Deck. Big hugs and love, Nicole xx
I am trying to nourish my brain by doing puzzles each day on my tablet, as I don’t want it to enter a fog one day and not be able to find its way out and my brain has been through too many fogs as it is. I do feel happy when I see a blog post from you in my email
And I always feel happy when I see a comment from you! xx
Missed your last couple of weeks of Monday updates so looking forward to more blogs, welcome home xx
