Hope and Heartaches – Monday Oracle 20 April 2020

Hello, Lovelies!

April’s here, and with it come energies of creativity, inner journeying and self-awareness. It’s a month for going within to find your answers, and for reconnection in relationships, and with things that matter to you.

Keep that in mind as we explore the gifts that the oracle card FRESH APPROACH brings us this week. FRESH APPROACH is from the Nature’s Whispers Oracle Cards by Angela Hartfield and Josephine Wall.

The Gifts Of The Week Ahead

I won’t lie. The next few weeks might be bumpy as the New Moon exerts her energies (more on that tomorrow), and the last few weeks may have been bumpy.

Life may have dealt you some hard blows. Things you had wanted to work may now be broken. Old patterns may be repeating themselves. Hurt may have visited you, old hurt and trauma you can’t even readily identify but that is slowing you down or which has stopped you in your tracks.

So at first you may not be able to sit quietly, long enough to allow the gifts that FRESH APPROACH brings. And they might not seem like gifts at all, at first glance. Because FRESH APPROACH is asking you to stand face-to-face with what is broken. To hold it in your hands. To accept it as it is, and yourself as you are, and to take responsibility and ownership for the place you find yourself in, no matter how you got here.

Taking responsibility is not about blame or fault or judgement. It’s simply you, being able to say ‘I am here, and it is so.’ It is what it is. This is my current reality.

FRESH APPROACH brings the gift of hope. It will help you to start out again this week, to ask for help, to find solutions for right now, to patch things up, to find another way, to find your inner strength, to keep going or to move in a new direction. The energies this week are chaotic but within them are the seeds of hope and new beginnings, and of coming back into alignment with a greater sense of connection and with your deeper truth.

Supportive crystals this week

Clear Quartz will support you with all forms of soul work, holding intention and clear seeing. Smoky Quartz (pictured) keeps you grounded and connected, gifting inner strength and the ability to listen deeply. If you’re feeling completely lost Smoky Quartz helps you get back on your feet again. Fire Agate gifts you courage to follow your spiritual path, and inspires you to grow beyond your current limits. It’s a stone to kindle your creative flame. Black Tourmaline (pictured) helps set and uphold strong boundaries, and supports you when you feel uncertain or fearful.

Helpful Essential Oils

Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. To make your own little blend add 1 drop of Vetiver, 4 drops of Lavender, 3 drops of Ylang Ylang and 2 drops of Geranium to 30ml of a suitable base oil. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra, back of neck, over your heart, wrists and the soles of your feet.

Vetiver will calm and ground us, promoting emotional balance and wisdom, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Geranium centers and soothes us in times of panic and extreme stress.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser.

Coronavirus is a game-changer for all of us, forcing us to slow down, to stay home and drop back from the busy-ness of our everyday lives. Instead of panicking, I invite you to embrace this challenge as an opportunity to find the time and the stillness needed for deep soul work and a personal journey of transformation.

2020 is a big year for healing and reinventing ourselves, and for tapping into our intuitive gifts. My paid membership group can help you to make the most of these energies. Within our membership space you’ll find exclusive webinars, guided meditations, videos and online courses, a bookclub, a private Facebook group and many other resources.

I’m spending a lot of time in our group doing Facebook lives, channelling, answering questions, providing support and customizing learning to best support our members.

I’m also creating material for my Journeymaker Circle Membership students to tap into these big soul work energies, including new meditations and coursework for connecting with Ancestral and Elder energies and for family healing work.

This is the kind of deep work I would normally only offer during my retreats and residential teaching intensives but this year I am doing that work through my private membership group, which means you can take advantage of this teaching now matter where in the world you live.

For the next short while I am offering 12 months membership to the Journeymaker Circle for just $457 USD for an entire year. If you join now I’ll honour that price forever, as long as you remain a current member.

You’ll find a ready group of friends and a world of support inside our doors.

Meanwhile, here at the farm I’m preparing for a big week of writing, readings, channelling and teaching. In the bits in-between you’ll find me in the garden or the kitchen. Autumn is here Down Under, and it’s a glorious time of year.

Here’s a snap of Rufous checking out my freshly sprouting garlic yesterday morning (he’s blurry because he was running around like a mad thing, delirious with excitement at all the good smells). It’s one of my favourite parts of the day when the dogs and I take our early morning walk and check out what has been happening on the farm overnight. I’m so very grateful that the bushfires and drought are behind us and the land has eased into something lush and hospitable again.

Sending you love, puppy dog happiness and slanted sunshine, Nicole xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Hi Nicole, looking at your garden looking lush made me wonder if you had a technique for deterring snails and slugs in the veggie garden? Do you just pick them off or leave saucers of beer something like that?

    1. I use crushed up egg shells and coffee grounds – I still get a few plant casualties but I figure that we have had so few snails and slugs that I am better to be gentle with them and let them have a chance to survive – I pick them off too.
