Butterflies can’t see their wings. They can’t see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.Naya Rivera
My inbox is groaning this week with messages from people who are really struggling right now.
If you’re having a hard time too, please know that you’re not alone.
For everyone who is doing it tough, for whatever reason, I have an important message for you.
Stop beating yourself up about your current circumstances.
It’s okay not to feel okay, and to not be coping well.
Suffering is personal, so don’t compare yourself to others and think you have no right to feel the way you do. It is what it is.
Giving yourself a hard time will simply compound your misery, and make you less able to cope with what is in front of you.
You’d never treat a friend like that, so stop doing it to yourself. What you need right now is compassion and self-care.
Life is messy, and full of ups and downs. That’s not your fault. It’s just life.
As a highly sensitive soul you feel things more deeply than most. That’s a superpower, not a weakness. But it can overload you at times, so be gentle with yourself and take time out to regroup and rebalance. Reach out for support where you can, and above all treat yourself with kindness. Radical self-acceptance is what is needed, no matter what you are going through.
I see you, and you are beautiful.
Big hugs and love, Nicole xx
PS Know that you are in my daily meditations and prayers 🙏❤✨
