Meditation, connecting with our guides, getting into a channelling space or spiritual flow, doing readings or healings, clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, working with energy, astral travelling, improving our psychic and metaphysical abilities – all of these things can be made stronger and easier with the help of crystals.
Here are my favourite stones for connection, and how you can use them too.
Amethyst
A great all-rounder. Helps beginner psychics to tune in and trust. Helps advanced practitioners to deepen and strengthen their abilities. Perfect for helping you with ‘seeing and hearing’ all things metaphysical. Activates Crown and Third Eye chakras. Want to meet your guides? Use amethyst.
Labradorite
A stone for strengthening intuition and healing abilities, especially the ability to channel energy through your hands. Wakes up latent psychic abilities and taps you into past life memories clearly and easily. Helps you to bring through answers and guidance for self and others. A terrific stone for personal growth and reflection.
Clear Quartz
Opens the Crown Chakra, infuses you with white light, and enhances all of your natural psychic and intuitive abilities. Clear quartz will help show you who you are, what your gifts are, and how you can best use them. Can be used for all forms of metaphysical work. Brilliant for calming the mind and helping you expand your energy and tune in to messages. Accelerates spiritual growth. Not all stones will suit beginners (you may get a really bumpy ride that is uncomfortably fast!). A great stone to program and for all kinds of healing and grid work. A stunning meditation companion stone. Connects you into Higher Guides. Builds discipline and focus.
Orange or Golden Calcite
The perfect beginners stone for those who wish to channel information for themselves and others. Gentle energies to enhance clear communication with the higher realms. Helps calm mental chatter and strengthens trust in the messages and images you receive. Boosts creativity and intuition. An amazing stone for doing all forms of channelled writing and art.
Lapis Lazuli
This is THE stone for connecting into past lives, past life remembrance and the Akashic Records. Also good for astral travel and lucid dreaming. Not a beginners stone, but those who are attracted to lapis are never beginners anyway, even if they feel that way to start. Brings rapid remembering of your healing and psychic abilities. Rhyolite
A delicious stone for connecting into off-world energies, and for all forms of channelled and automatic writing – especially writing with your Guides and Higher Self. Some rhyolites also aid connection to the fairy realms, to nature and nature spirits, to the oceans and cetaceans, and to trees. A soothing and grounding stone that holds much magic. Rose Quartz
This yummy stone nurtures us as it opens and activates our Heart and Crown chakras. This stone works from love, and helps all that you do to come from love. The perfect stone for connecting into your Guardian Angel, and the Angels of others, as well as to guides who come to work with us offering messages of love, hope and support. A terrific stone for children, and for beginners, but don’t underestimate its power. Every lightworker needs a rose quartz for nourishing and supporting their emotional and spiritual energies. Does your ‘warehouse’ have any rhyolite?? That one speaks to me. My friend recently gave me a rose quartz heart, which is beautiful. I had stopped using clear quartz due to the solar flares, so I will get them out again. I’ve had a small Desert Rose crystal in my pocket for the past few weeks which I believe supports intuition. Correct? It’s a lovely peaceful, calming but refreshing day today. Love to you xx

Hi dearest Nicole, is the picture of the crystal manda the one you made this week? So beautiful!!! Something happened here this weekend. Big breakthrough on the communication front. I was shocked and flabbergasted (in a positive way). Something major is cleared and I don’t know how it happened. It just happened, like in a flash. It feels so good. A weight has been lifted and energy is flowing more freely. I can be true to myself and am accepted. Have also thought up the the new direction of where I want to take my career. Stuff suddenly falls into place. I don’t know if the mandala has a role in the sudden change, but it is really really exciting and oh so good. Thank you for including us in the mandala!!! 😘
The big quartz crystal at the top of the page is from the beginning of a mandala I made a while back. The one at the bottom of the page is the one you are in, that is still out in my garden under the sun and the rain and the stars and the moon, working its magic.
