“You can’t make yourself feel positive, but you can choose how to act, and if you choose right, it builds your confidence.”
~ Julien Smith, The Flinch“Your beliefs become your thoughts,
Your thoughts become your words,
Your words become your actions,
Your actions become your habits,
Your habits become your values,
Your values become your destiny.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi
One of the things that has been most useful in developing my psychic and intuitive abilities has been my daily spiritual practice. Each morning when I wake up I take my Medicine Bag – a bag filled with the tools I use in my morning meditations and rituals – and I sit myself somewhere to quietly greet the day.
I light a candle and some incense, I choose a crystal, I sit in meditation, after which I use a deck of oracle or tarot cards to pull one card for the day and reflect on its meaning for me. Then I write any insights in my journal. This might take me five minutes on the busiest of days, or up to an hour when I have time to go deeply into my practice.
Because all my tools are in a small bag I can take that bag everywhere with me, and I do. I have visited friends, taken business trips, gone on holidays and still carried out my daily routine. My Medicine Bag has travelled Australia, crossed the oceans, and been my companion as I have roamed the world.
No matter where I am, I am anchored by ritual and daily practice. And when the world feels particularly crazy and hard to navigate, this daily practice becomes a place for essential grounding and centering as I find my way back to my heart and to that place of love that is deep connection with spirit.

On Saturday 26 November I’ll be teaching a hands-on workshop, showing you how to create and customise your own Medicine Bag. I’ll show you how to decorate and personalise a plain bag, to infuse it with your energies and intentions.
Then we’ll fill the bag with tools, and I will show you how to use them.
You’ll be given a beautiful hand-crafted candle and your own incense.
You’ll be given a crystal, hand-chosen for you by me.
You’ll be given a journal and shown how to dedicate this journal to your journey-work.
You’ll be taught some simple meditations.
I’ll connect you with your Guides through meditation – and then send you the meditation as an MP3 when the workshop concludes.
I’ll show you how to work with tarot and oracle cards to do a simple intuitive reading for yourself, and how to reflect on this reading within your journal.
I’ll show you a range of different meditation practices using singing bowls, singing bells, mala beads and mantras.
You’ll go home with your own Medicine Bag – ready to begin your spiritual journey with your own toolkit and foundation skills.

Make Your Own Talisman and Healing Beads – Morning Workshop – Saturday 26 November from 10am to 12pm Just a few places left!
A Talisman is a small spiritual object which has been made with love and infused with specific energies to help attract or achieve a certain outcome. I was taught variously how to make Talismans by one of my Aboriginal Aunties, by a Native American Medicine Woman and also by a friend’s grandmother, who came from a long line of traditional healers in her culture (which is also the culture of my own ancestors).
In this workshop I will show you how to make a Talisman so that it is infused with energy, purpose and intent. I will show you how to ‘sing’ your beads into harmony with an energy or outcome.
Talisman making is a sacred act of focus and devotion for yourself or someone you care about. There will be many materials for you to choose from, but I also encourage you to bring something of your own – such as a charm, small image, feather, crystal or shell, if it has a special significance.
Healing Beads are beads that can be held or worn and which hold energies specific to your well-being. They can be used to focus on any issue or area of health and well-being for yourself or a loved one.
You will make and take home a hand-crafted Talisman and a set of Healing Beads. All materials and information will be provided. Morning tea will also be served. Suitable for beginners and advanced practitioners. This workshop is open to adults and children aged 15 and up.
Cost: $120 – Please RSVP to Dana at nicolecodyinfo@gmail.com
