Monday Oracle – 11 December 2017

“Much unhappiness has come into the world because of bewilderment and things left unsaid.
-Fyodor Dostoyevsky

Hello, Lovelies!

December is a month of gifts of pleasure, true abundance and celebration

Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts which the oracle card Confusion brings us.

So, what awareness does Confusion bring us this week?

This card has a simple but powerful message: Everything looks and feels worse than it is when you are in a place of exhaustion!

Confusion reminds us that sometimes the best decision we can make is to postpone that decision while we get some rest. When we’re so tired that our brain is about as sharp as a beachball it’s never going to be our best thinking.

We live in a crazy, busy unrelenting world. Confusion asks us to consider what we can do to ease the craziness this week. Maybe we need an early night, or to go for a walk each morning or before bed to clear our head. Maybe we need to cut back on outings, commitments, social media or screen time. Perhaps we can support ourselves better with some nutritious food (good quality takeout can sometimes be an option at times like this – make sure to order enough so that there are leftovers for a second meal).

Confusion’s teaching: This week look at what you can delegate, delay or drop from your busy schedule. Free up some breathing space. Get a little time for yourself, even if it’s just ten minutes over your favourite brew in the local cafe or at home in a cosy quiet corner. Treat yourself with great care and love. You’ll be in a much better position to make decisions or create plans once you’re rested and your head is back on right.

Note: In my Year of ME Planner (ME stands for Manifesting Energies, and for those already using it our planner is known as the YOM planner and our community are YOMMERS!) we cover this very situation in a section known as Sustainable Madness, where I show you how to navigate crazy times or crazy deadlines while exerting extreme self-care.

It’s nearly time for our yearly Planner Launch (this year we even have A5 physical copies too, yay!) Stay tuned and I’ll give you more details tomorrow.

Supportive crystals this week?

Clear Quartz lifts your vibration and opens you to flow. It is a highly spiritual stone, encouraging self-reflection and helpful for hearing messages and receiving signs or direction that can assist you on your journey.  (This is not a great choice if you are feeling scattered, because Clear Quartz amplifies your energy – if you’re all over the place then choose a Carnelian or Red Jasper to centre you back in yourself and give you energy.)  Unakite helps you to feel supported, calm and grounded. It opens your heart to love, and draws love, friendship and helpful people to you. It also helps you to overcome feelings of isolation or loneliness.

Helpful essential oils?

I’m loving Young Living’s Envision this week. It’s an oil blend I often use in my workshops and retreats to help my students connect to inner wisdom and intuition. It helps us to see a greater possibility for ourselves. Use Envision for spiritual connection, inspiration and breakthroughs. Yes, especially when you are exhausted, uncertain or feeling a bit broken. Dab a drop on your Crown Chakra, back of neck, over your heart, wrists and the soles of your feet, inhale directly or add to your diffuser.

Want to make your own blend? Each of the following oils will work beautifully on their own for you this week, but they’ll also make a delicious combination for diffusing. Vetiver will calm and ground us, promoting emotional balance, Lavender keeps us in flow and relaxed, Ylang Ylang opens our hearts and is supportive when we feel anxious or overwhelmed, and Bergamot brings joy, gratitude and optimism.  To diffuse add 2 or three drops of each oil to your room or personal diffuser. You can find the oils here.

Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.

All my love,

Nicole ❤ xx

PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Confusion’, is from the Chakra Wisdom Oracle Deck by Tori Hartman. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. I found your blog in the depth of the internet only recently, but I love it. It is so positive and uplifting, I really appreciate it. This morning I saw the card and I saw myself, like I am sometimes: arms crossed, cross face and absolutely not listening or even recognizing the divine guidance, that surrounds me. To me the message of the week is, to relax, to open up, to listen. Thank you, Nicole.

  2. Nicole thank you I stumble in and out of your emails but they are very inspirational and honest and always enjoyable thank you Orla Ireland 🤗🤗

  3. I was told on Friday by a physiologist that part of the reason my hand shakes so much is due to the amount of stressful situations in my life and my brain becoming confused trying to figure out the best way to deal with it. So I found this post really interesting

  4. Hello Beautiful Nicole

I LOVE this post. It has a feeling of uplifting and so much truth. I can’t find the words right now. My favourite line that connected deep to my heart is – Everything looks and feels worse than it is when you are in a place of exhaustion!

I have 1 more week of work then holidays and this beautiful reminder sang to me.

    Love and Gratitude

    Jacq xx
