How To Be A Superhero

Do not try to save

the whole world

or do anything grandiose.

Instead, create

a clearing

in the dense forest

of your life

and wait there

patiently,

until the song

that is yours alone to sing

falls into your open cupped hands

and you recognize and greet it.

Only then will you know

how to give yourself

to this world so worthy of rescue.

Lovely,

You were born with a song inside you. A song that is uniquely yours.

Everyone is.

This week’s energies support you to listen to your soul longings, to see the signposts, to be open to that song falling into your open cupped hands.

Don’t live to please others. Stop fighting to BE someone. You were always, already, enough.

Wait, patiently. Listen with your heart. Create room in your life for revelation. Know that it will come.

When you know the song of your life, and you sing that song, everything changes. Even if your voice trembles, and the song starts as a whisper. You change the world by changing yourself. By singing your song.

Onward!

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. Thank you Nicole for this lovely message. I had a soul portrait done some years ago and it was all about finding my soul song ~ it inspired me no end and I still have the painting hanging in my study as a reminder to keep singing, even if, as you say, one’s voice sometimes trembles. It’s the intention that counts. What was extremely interesting about the painting, was that it featured someone who looks very much like my late cousin, whom I was very close to & exceptionally fond of. She had unexpectedly passed not too long before that painting was done, so it was remarkable that she appeared in my soul portrait. We don’t look at all alike. I asked the artist why it didn’t look like me (she hadn’t had a picture of me nor had met me prior to doing the painting) but she said it was meant to represent an aspect of me (which was fine with me) but she said it was an image she’d picked up. To my mind, it was my beloved cousin coming thru as a spiritual helper to watch over me. I often feel her presence and she sends the most amazing signs to her immediate family members that’s she’s still “around” & watching over us all. Blessed be xx

  2. So Beautiful. Thank You Nicole. ‘Create room in your life for revelation’ – I so needed to see that. Just reading that soothes the ache a little. Namaste & Nameh.
