The Energies of August – 2016

Hello, Lovelies

Welcome to August. August is a month for knowing ourselves, for bettering ourselves and for furthering ourselves. As we act from a place of self-awareness and personal clarity things will begin to fall into place for us. Sure, the actions we need to take and the decisions we must make may not be easy, but all of them shall be leading us very clearly in the direction of our choosing. No more drifting. It’s time to commit or to walk away. Time to stick with something, or to choose something new. Coasting this month, or waiting to see how things turn out will just lead to further stuckness and confusion.

In everything you do this month, do it for yourself and not to please or placate others!

Cards for the Month:

I’ve chosen two cards for August for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s Wisdom of the Oracle. Please note I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.

August encourages us to own our Mastery and to work on deepening our knowledge and skills. We are better to specialise and to make one thing our own then to cast our nets widely and be a Jack or Jill Of All Trades.

Everyone has something that comes easily to them, or that they can do well. Often we discount that thing for the very reason that it came easily to us. In August don’t be so quick to talk down or overlook your natural gifts and talents. Is there anything you are ready to teach or share, even if it’s in the most small and humble of ways?

August brings awakening psychic energies, and a need for soul connection. It is also a month of unexpected magic, Universal assistance and breakthroughs.

There’s a flipside though. We are beginning to be aware of those areas of limitation – where we don’t naturally shine. August allows us to finally see that it’s our choice. We can work hard to build up those areas of weakness, or we can delegate them out to someone who does shine in that space, and who can complement and support our own gifts and talents.

The second card I’ve chosen is Yang. This card reminds me a little of the Good Witch Glinda in the Wizard of Oz, telling Dorothy that the power was in her all along.

You have a magic in you. Something that is your own personal superpower. Something you do in a way that makes this thing uniquely your own. But that power is no good unexpressed.

August is giving you every encouragement to get out of your own way and launch your dreams, your business, your art, your images, your thoughts, yourself into the world.

Roll up your sleeves and get to work. If you do, all kinds of good stuff can be unleashed, including support and synchronicities.

Maybe it’s time to set up your own Instagram or Pinterest account. Maybe it’s time to set up your Etsy store or your website. Maybe it’s time to teach or blog or craft or simply to wear your magical red shoes when everyone else’s shoes are sensible black.

Be you. Magnificently and unashamedly you.

And this is a Septarian Nodule. The Aragonite is the dark brown mineral. Its companions are Golden Calcite and Siltstone.
