Yes, we will all have cracks — but that is how we break without falling apart.

Lovelies,
It’s December, and December requires you to rest.
The past few years have been filled with trials, with change, and with the anguish of the planet’s environmental woes.
You’ve kept going, you’ve kept growing and, mostly, you’ve maintained your momentum.
So, you might be wondering why you feel a little (or a lot) wobbly now. Why you feel exhausted, flattened, defeated, depressed. Right as things seem a little better. Or right as you were coping better.

It’s okay. It’s December, and December requires you to rest.
If you’ve been holding yourself together so long that you’ve actually forgotten that you’re holding yourself together, expect some cracks to appear.
When momentum slows, the cracks show.
That’s okay. It’s December, and December requires you to rest.

Rest will help you to find a way to get moving again. The cracks can be filled in with gold, like the Kintsugi pots of the Japanese. The broken can be made beautiful. Pain can be turned into wisdom. But all of that requires rest.

Slow down. Slow down. Slow down.
I’m holding you in my prayers and meditations,
Nicole xx
Lovely words! It is so easy to forget to slow down and rest, to stop and be present. So much effort goes towards being strong and moving forward that we don’t always take the time to tend to our own needs. Fortunately that option, to rest, is always there. Thank you for the beautiful reminder <3
Thanks Nicole. Really needed that perspective on what has been going on and what to do now. What a relief!
