Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy;
they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.
Something wonderful happened yesterday!
My social media feed and my inbox were filled with examples of the things you have chosen or done for yourself this week in an effort to explore the concept of emotional luxury.
Some of you gifted yourself strawberries or raspberries or persimmons.
Others took time to enjoy a mug of good chai, or a trip to the beach.
Someone got a haircut. Someone else bought themselves a bunch of flowers.
A few of you went on a hike, or a paddle, or a nature walk.
Some of you went to art supply stores or craft stores or book stores, or farmers markets.
A couple of you bought something small and meaningful and personal for yourself – a handmade pair of earrings, a sketch for the wall, a coffee mug, a new bra that was fitted properly by someone who knew what they were doing…
In each instance you took time out to slow down and celebrate life, to treat yourself with love and respect, and to fill your cup.
I can’t begin to tell you how much this filled my own cup, and swelled my heart with love.
I’m so grateful for this beautiful community of souls.
And if you haven’t done anything for yourself yet? The weekend is in front of you. So, please, indulge yourself just a little, or a lot, or whatever feels right for you but please, take some time, slow down and really live.
Love, freshly planted sweet peas and a great cup of morning coffee, Nicole xx
