“A challenge only becomes an obstacle when you bow to it.”

Blogging ish hard when:

  • Your eyes don’t work
  • Your brain is on vacation
  • you need tozoom the page to stupid percent magnification to see anything
  • the keyboard for your compuzer seems like a monster swapped it for a foreign langwage.

But I’m not giving up/

I had my eyes properly hopsital and specialist checked witha gazillion tests ans scans because I have lost vision in one eye and the other hasgone all hazy (that was a bit scary. in fact it’s the first time I’ve really been worried. I mean, sick I can cope iwth but technically blind would be a whole other ballgame) and the good news is my eyes have actually improved/ Pressure better, less opticnerve inflammation. MAcular is smoother. That’s a good thing. And now the glasses they said I needed at the last eye test they say I don’t need now.

Which is kind of hilarious seeing I can’t see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it’s a brain issue and a die-off of bacteria in my eyes issue, and a dirty tears issue thank you Lyme. Isn’t that good to know?!

And it makes writing hard. (And walking, and navigating and finding things in the fridgeand making things get to your mouth without spilling) But I am a writer and that’s what wrioters do. Rise to teh challenge. Forgive bad speels – OI think my keybpard is alien, or my gingers have forgotten the alphabet – all these keys look so close together and kind of the same/

So I shall keep blogging in my squinty eyed way and perhaps tomorrow I shall make more sense.

Anyway, I love you! Monster eyed and all…

Shall now go and do a healing meditation for us all, focusing on developing clear sight in every aspect of our lives. SOmetimes when looking out gets hard we best look inward. At least meditation is something i can do right now, eyes firmly shut! Bless xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. You know, I was going to look up your blog today to comment and say what a PRO-ACTIVE, CAN-DO kind of week I’ve had, thanks in large part to the supportive direction of your 8-week change program, and here you are, struggling with great humour and grace, with such real life things as your health, your body. You are one very spirited and inspiring lady. 🙂

  2. My eyes hurt today from a sinus headache because of allergies. I know that pales in comparison to what you’re going through but those eye slippers and soaps just made me chuckle. Very timely as always. Stay strong Nicole. Rest and fight. You’re going to win the battle.

  3. Poor you , I can only imagine what you are going through . Even with your many you have made me laugh with those wonderful cakes ( want the recipe ) and real ‘dig em ‘ socks.
    Take care Cherry x

  4. Dearest Nicole
You Are such an inspiration to all of us.
Sending you a heart filled with love and blessings hoping this to shall pass quickly for you.

  5. Really, the lyme bugs picked the wrong person to invade. You shall kill ALL THE THINGS and nothing will stop you. See Exhibit A, above (& the gazillion other exhibits everywhere else). xo

  6. Love the slippers! Thank you for taking the time to share today Nicole – as said above you are a great inspiration to so many in myriad ways. We’re all praying and sending healing blessings directly to you. xox

  7. And yet, here you are, blogging away, not giving up, being the GREATEST inspiration EVER! Keeping you in my heart always, dearest Nicole… and in my prayers. I may not stop often to comment, but I’m following you… cheering you on: Power to you, girl!!!

LOVE and Healing Light and more LOVE,

  8. Good luck with that. My Step-father had a condition with his eyes they never could explain. He had 20/20 vision and couldn’t see a dang thing. Somehow the connection between his brain and eyes didn’t work anymore. The thought of not being able to see is terrifying.
