2021 – Guidance For The Year

Home wasn’t a set house, or a single town on a map. It was wherever the people who loved you were, whenever you were together. Not a place, but a moment, and then another, building on each other like bricks to create a solid shelter that you take with you for your entire life, wherever you may go.

Happy New Year, Lovelies, and welcome to 2021! I

New Year’s Day is always a special time for me. I like to welcome the day with meditation, and then spend some time over the course of the day contemplating my year ahead, asking for spiritual guidance, and writing in my journal and my Journeymaker’s Planner. For me, it is a day of visioning and dreaming, and spending time with people and activities that matter to me.

Each year I draw a Guiding Card for the year ahead, and then channel information about this new year.  I don’t use tarot or oracle cards as a predictive tool – rather I use them for reflection, and to seek guidance about qualities, actions and perspectives that might be of benefit over the next twelve months.

I’ve chosen this year’s Guiding Card from Aleister Crowley’s Thoth Tarot. It’s a deck I use only for New Year. The card for the year ahead is The Priestess.

THE PRIESTESS – Insights for 2021

2020 heralded the start of a new decade, and a whole new energetic era. It was always going to be bumpy. 2020 was an unstable year which brought new challenges, buried issues and important problems forward to be dealt with. It was a year of things falling apart in order that they might come back together in a better way. It was also a year of beginning to understand what really matters to you personally, and for your family, community, country, and the planet. It was a time of new leaders and new ideas emerging – and it was a great year for you to rest, come back to yourself, regroup and think about how you want your life to be for the years ahead.

2021 is also a year of instability, but don’t see instability as a bad thing. Things are always messy when change is happening. This new year is about being able to find personal stability in the face of instability. It’s a year to embrace your intuition, to gain wisdom from reflection on the past, and a time for learning and evolving.

No matter what happens in the wider world, if you keep your focus close to home you can make this a great year. It’s a year where love, relationships and matters of the heart (this can include art, music, projects and your fondest dreams) can be built into something secure and stable.

You’ll need focus this year. It’s easy to become overwhelmed in the face of all that needs attention, and everything that you can’t control. That’s okay. 2021 shows you where to put that focus – on family, on close relationships, on home, on one area of your life that matters to you and where you can create results that will bring you comfort, satisfaction and a greater sense of meaning. There are opportunities in places you hadn’t expected, so stay observant, and be open to new possibilities.

It’s a year of heightened intuition, well suited to spiritual awakening too. And I have just the tools to help with that!
