September Stones – A new competition for you!

“When you leave a beautiful place, you carry it with you wherever you go.” ~ Alexandra Stoddard

Every day in September I am meditating with these two stones.

The stones are intended to be held, one in each hand, as you sit in meditation. I’ll be giving these stones away, as well as recording a personalised guided meditation for the winner!

As I hold these stones in my hand each day for the month of September I meditate with the intent that they will hold energies in a way that can be transferred to the user.

The first stone is Morion, from the wild West Coast of Tasmania. It is this month’s Anchoring Stone and its energies help us to stay grounded, clear and calm, connecting into our bodies, and to the earth and nature.

Morion is a very dark form of Smoky Quartz – the crystal is so dark that it is almost black. It helps us to feel safe in ourselves, safe in our bodies, emotionally stable and deeply grounded. It pulls our scattered energy back to us, helping us to become strong and clear.

My intention is that this stone will help you to clear deep-seated grief and sadness, allowing your heart to open and heal. It’s a powerful stone for connecting with the energies of the earth, trees, stars and the moon. It promotes intuition, imagination and story-telling ability.

The second stone is the Connection Stone, and this one is a Ruby in Fuchsite. Connection stones connect us to Universal energy, as well as to Angels, Guides, Ancestors and our own wise soul energy.

This stone feels like a magical garden or a lake full of waterlillies. Just holding it is reassuring and it quickly centers you into your heart.

My intention in my meditation with this stone is that it provides a restful energy in your life that promotes emotional contentment, inner peace and heart connection. It’s a stone for love, happiness and knowing what you want in the world.

Isn’t it lovely!

When you hold these stones in your own meditation it will help to take you to a happy place – one that is restful, restorative and that will help you connect into personal clarity and inner harmony and peace.

We all need more time in our happy place, and these meditation stones will take you there!

What’s your happy place? Is it a real place, or a place you go to in your head? Do you have more than one? What happens to you when you are in that place? Let us know for a chance to win these stones!

Instructions on how to win these stones:

Do one of any of the following;

  1. Write a comment on this post telling us what your happy place is
  2. Post a comment on our facebook page, telling us what your happy place is or posting an image of that place
  3. Post a comment or image about your happy place on your facebook page and tag us in (use @cauldronsandcupcakes and @nicolecody)
  4. Post a picture on Instagram with the hashtag #CandChappyplace
  5. Send us an email to chelsi@cauldronsandcupcakes.com telling us about your happy place

This competition closes on September 30th at 8pm Brisbane time, and I’ll announce the winner on October 3.

I’ll be giving away a set of stones every month between now and December, so there are plenty of chances for you to win.

Biggest love and hugs to all of you, Nicole   xoxo

  1. These are beautiful stones both in their qualities and appearance. Being in nature is one happy place that is real….my garden or other natural areas so I can ground, feel the energy of the plants and animals makes me happy and brings me peace and solace. And when I meditate I have a happy place on the sea shore where I can connect with the energy of the universe, my true self and all my spiritual guides.

I would love help in connecting more often and more successfully with these happy places especially with the state of the world and with healing family issues and grief.

  2. God… first glance of these stones… and they spoke to me 🌞🌞 I thought… ‘she must have been thinking of me…’

Even more so when reading that beautiful quote. Wow… I’m not sure I’ve ever had such an immediate attraction/connection.

Packing at the moment, taking off 1st light tomorrow. But will sit later tomorrow and write about my ‘Happy Place’ … and post it here.

Thanks Lovely… ahhh September ~ my month of renewal, new starts happy Heart, and lotsa luscious moments 💖💖

    Lotsa Love ~ marilyn💖🙏💖

  3. My happy place is the beach…

To feel the sand inbetween my toes, smelling the sea air, listening to the waves, watching the rise and fall and watching the clouds.

I always feel better and it helps to clear my mind.

    Much love to you xx💖☁🏖

  4. My happy place/time is being with my granddaughter. Nothing specific, just being silly, listening to her giggle and watch her mind grow. It’s amazing and so powerful to see life through 4 year old eyes!
Thank you so much for the beautiful giveaway and always holding us in your heart 🙂

  5. My happy place is a spot in my garden next to my lemon tree and bottlebrush tree right next to my chooks house. I love to sit and listen to them cooing and scratching in the earth. Then to also smell the clean ness of the lemon and the beautiful feeling the glow of the red flower from the bottlebrush gives me. I found this place by complete accident one day while sitting out there a few days after my Mum passed away. It was a strange feeling of calm and when i would close my eyes other family would come to mind also. It was like it all came together including the chooks. When I cant sit there and I really need to escape I close my eyes and think of a place I went as a child with my Great Gran and sister it was a happy time so I go there. I did have some great stones I kept in a gorgeous little dish these where taken when our house was broken into a few months back. I find it hard to feel settled ever since. Thank you for caring for me and everyone else. Love to you
    Danielle

  6. My happy place is sitting in bed in the early hours with a cuppa listening to the seagulls outside the bedroom window. A few minutes of peace contemplating my day before my daughter wakes up and I get into busy mode. Lots of love to you Nicole and thanks for your wisdom over the years xx

  7. Wild flowers filling a field which is surrounded by tall trees of every green and green/blue hue you can imagine. One side of the field is bounded by a wide, slow moving, gently burbling stream. All I can hear are the bees buzzing amid the flowers and the leaves rustling in a gentle breeze playing through the tops of the trees. It’s a beautiful, warm, comforting late spring day.

It’s where I can be happy, calm and full of hope, or, just lately, it’s where I can reconnect with my dad, be joyful at seeing him once more and then feeling safe to weep when he leaves again.

It’s all in my head but it’s also in my heart ….. and it goes everywhere with me. xxx

  8. Nicole I haven’t received the rocks I won in July so I don’t want to enter to win more stones because it wouldn’t be fair I feel to enter for more but will I receive the ones I won ? I wrote you because you wanted to personalize my stones but as of now I haven’t received a response on if they were sent or not . Could you let me know if you sent them. I really need them
    love,
    Jo-Ann

    • Ah Jo-Ann, please don’t panic. Did you not see my recent post? Your meditation is recorded and your rocks are just finishing up in a grid, ready to be posted off on Monday. It will still take a few weeks I would imagine, before the stones reach you, given that you are in the USA and I am in Possum Creek. Here’s the post you missed https://cauldronsandcupcakes.com/2017/09/05/our-august-meditation-stones-winner/

There are many meditations here on my blog that you could listen to, and that would be supportive of you. Crystals and meditation are wonderful tools but remember that the most powerful tool of all for feeling better is your own mind and the choices you make about how you feel and act, and how you choose to view yourself. See yourself as strong, kind, resilient and healing. Know that you are stronger than any life circumstance you have yet endured. Holding you in my thoughts and prayers, Nicole xx

  9. Absolutely Fabulous Stones who SPEAK to me!!! I kept “wow-ing” each picture as I scrolled!! I have been on a nearly 6 decade of Surviving (many traumas~ most from childhood) Growing, Healing and Sharing what LIGHT I can. Lately tho I began to feel invisible ( in my youth “hiding in plain sight” was my Survival Super Power). It NO longer serves me in any way. I am feeling isolation ( which was another survival skill) and it seems rather unlovable ( from outward stuff as I have come to “see” I AM Lovable , I AM Worthy… I AM a BE-ing of LIGHT just like each and Every Soul who travels on this EarthWalk…) old “habits” old “tapes” in my head Definitely Noting I NEED any longer and yet the dang resistance to Release them UGH lol. I have put all this out into the Universe. My Need to feel PEACE. I AM READY and I Believe and am Grateful ( in advance 😉 ) and then today I see your post with these Rock People!! WOW….My “happy place” shew I would have to say the Ocean/Beach. I can BREATHE… I can simply BE…. It would BE a Great Honor to “win” these two Rock People > Ah HO Mitakuye Oyasin

  10. My happy place is being in the garden and feeling the energy of the home where my family of 4 children have all grown up. I feel a great connection to the local community as well and like nothing more when people or family drop in and share my place with me. The garden has been a place of solace and healing to work on deep seated grief and sadness in this lifetime. I have a strong feeling of wanting to find inner peace and happiness and to do this I feel I need to honour but also release these feelings. Release has been my journey in this life and I feel that I have made major steps forward, however there is more to go. Perhaps it relates to other lifetimes, I am not sure. I do know that being in nature is a place that helps me resolve issues and stay grounded.

I felt a real sense of connection when I saw the September stones and unlike my normal reaction which would be to allow someone else to win them, I really felt they were meant for me. Even saying that makes me feel selfish, however I just could not put away the sense they gave me of the release that I was looking for.

  11. My happy place is back in the woods behind my house. It is a magical spot I carved out for myself where I can go to read a book or write in my journals. Where I can sit and listen to the birds sing lovely songs to me. Squirrels run up and down the trees and occasionally a mother turkey and her little ones will come through. In the summer it smells of wild honeysuckle so strong that you can taste it. Early in the morning if I go back there with my coffee I can hear an owl deep in the woods. I have taken many objects back there over the years, such as little statues, that have grown into the woods, become part of it as if they were always there, covered in lush green moss. I always am energized and yet relaxed after spending time alone with my thoughts in nature, in my magical woods……..jen
