“Dare to love yourself
as if you were a rainbow
with gold at both ends.”
I’m still bedbound with the flu but am slowly improving. Another week in bed and hopefully I’ll be back on my feet again, fingers crossed. Luckily May is a month that empowers us to take the long view of our goals, and to make decisions and take actions that support those goals. Knowing that has helped me to take the pressure off myself and to use this downtime for longer-range planning and dreaming, in between naps of course! May supports sustainable action, and working towards our goals and dreams bit by bit, step by step. Keep that in mind as we look at the gifts of inspiration which the oracle card Ten of Hearts brings us.
The number one message of this card for the week ahead is that when we move to a place of emotional or spiritual contentment our minds open, our psychic senses are strengthened and goodness and inspiration flow. Make sure to schedule some time for planning or working on your dreams this week – then crank up your favourite music and use any other props (think incense, cups of tea, going for a surf, heading to a cafe or library, walk outside etc) that get you in a positive frame of mind – and let the creativity and new ideas flow. Equally, take time to kick back with the people you love, to connect with something or someone heart and soul, and to truly enjoy some quality down-time this week too.
Can you see how the Mermaid is riding a turtle in the Ten of Hearts? Here’s our reminder – going slowly is okay, as long as we are heading in a direction that is satisfying for us. The journey is as important as the destination. So how can you make your journey more enjoyable? What lights you up and fills you up? Plan to do more of that this week, or start to make the decisions that will bring these things into your life during the year.
If you’ve been looking for a sign as to whether a new relationship, idea or business will work for you take this as an indication that the answer is YES.
Ten of Hearts shows us that no matter where we are on the journey we need to find situations, relationships and actions that are meaningful to us. Life is so short and so precious. It will always have bumpy bits but as much as possible we need to find a way to enjoy the ride, no matter what our current circumstances or the past we are leaving behind.
Supportive crystals this week?
Orange Calcite connects us to inspiration and is a wonderful beginner stone for tuning in to the spiritual realms. It’s great for all forms of creativity. Amethyst helps us to tune in to all forms of spiritual guidance and also helps us to manifest and become clear about our life path. Smoky Quartz helps us let go of old hurts, old pains and old ideas/situations/dreams so we can move forward without regret, and finally any kind of Geode will be great this week for amplifying joy and abundance in our lives. A geode is a little ‘cave’ or hollow filled with smaller crystals. The one pictured is an Amethyst Geode!
Helpful essential oils?
I’m loving Geranium again this week. Geranium is such an underestimated essential oil. With its sweet floral scent it’s brilliant for helping you relax, unwind and get connected to your essence. It will uplift you and stimulate creativity, sensuality and emotional flow – all energies that are great for shifting us into a more creative space. If you’re an over-giver and your tank is dry, geranium oil will fill you back up again.
Apply it to your pulse points at wrist, neck and over heart like a perfume. Place a few drops in your bath water. Diffuse it. One of my favourite uses is as a centering and inspiring pick-me-up. Put a drop in the palm of your hand, rub hands together and then inhale the aroma. (Here’s a simple three-minute meditation you can do using geranium or any of your favourite essential oils – click here)
Need an extra boost of encouragement? Try Young Living’s Believe essential oil blend. It’s fabulous in your diffuser while you work, or as a quick pick-me-up with a three-minute meditation. Believe is uplifting and promotes confidence, spiritual connection, clarity and belief in ourselves. It also helps us to let go of fear, doubt and old emotional pain and hurt. I often use this oil when I am creating, writing or journalling, or working with cards for myself.
You can find the oils here.
Holding you, as always, in my thoughts, prayers and meditations, and intending for you a life of abundance and joy, where you are no longer limited by your doubts.
All my love,
Nicole ❤ xx
PS: Monday’s oracle card, ‘Ten of Hearts’, is from the Inner Child Cards – A Fairy-Tale Tarot. I use any cards shown as a prompt for channelled messages and my own own intuitive wisdom, so my take is sometimes quite different to the meaning found in a book.
