“No, this is not the beginning of a new chapter in my life; this is the beginning of a new book! That first book is already closed, ended, and tossed into the seas; this new book is newly opened, has just begun! Look, it is the first page! And it is a beautiful one!”

Hello, Lovelies <3
Here we are in August! I promised that I would support you in making the most of this year’s opportunities, so here’s my Heads Up about the month ahead, as well as a few suggestions for embracing all that August has to offer.
August is all about beginnings, small starts, and putting one foot in front of the other. It’s time to leave the past behind and move forward. There is a groundswell of energy and support for you this month if you’re ready to start or to make changes. It’s a great month for building things, or building on what you’ve already begun.
Card for the Month:
I’ve chosen two cards for August for you: one from the Osho Zen Tarot Deck, and one from Colette Baron-Reid’s The Enchanted Map. Remember that I don’t use these cards in the conventional way, but rather as a stimulus for channelled information.
Here is what I have received from each card:
“But you can build a future out of anything. A scrap, a flicker. The desire to go forward, slowly, one foot at a time. You can build an airy city out of ruins.”
~ Lauren Oliver, Pandemonium
The message of this first card, Moment to Moment, is all about bravely putting one foot in front of the other. You’re being called on to trust. Trust yourself. Trust your dreams. Trust in your own abilities. Trust that you can find a way.
In August we can begin to feel ourselves putting miles between where we have been stuck and where our heart is calling us to go. It might involve a lot of work, but it won’t feel like a burden (at least most of the time it won’t!). It’s a month for slowly building momentum, and creating habits and new attitudes that through their constant small uses will become cemented and last us a lifetime.
August is also about staying centred in our dreams, and nurturing what brings us satisfaction and happiness. All work and no play is never a good combination.
In trusting our dreams and our capacity to achieve them, all manner of unseen support is being offered to us. Expect synchronicities, breakthroughs and helpful people. Expect useful dreams and journalling.
If you get stalled and can’t see a way ahead, know that it is like crossing a foggy stream at night, stone by stone. The mist may only clear long enough for you to see and advance to the next stone, rather than illuminating every step of your journey in one go. That’s okay. Trust. And in this way you will arrive at your destination.
We are also cautioned to create balance in our lives, and to actively structure a way of living that supports our physical, emotional and spiritual needs. It’s fine to work hard, or consistently. But also leave time for sleep, for fun, for connection, for relaxation.
(Not sure how to do that? Join our Journal Challenge that starts tomorrow!)
“Walking. I am listening to a deeper way. Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.” ~ Linda Hogan
The second card I’ve chosen brings a message of encouragement and support from your Ancestors and the natural world . Spirit of Place encourages you to see every place that you go as having energy and history. And from this awareness to begin to understand that you are never truly alone. As you move towards your dreams, as you solve problems and make changes your Ancestors are looking on, guiding and supporting you. Sending you love and courage and strength. Imbuing you with wisdom, prompting your intuition. Helping in many unseen ways, and some, perhaps, that become clearly visible.
You’re also reminded that the natural world is a supportive one. Time in nature will ground you, earth you and clear your head. Natural fresh foods will heal and uplift your energy and your physical vitality. Water and sunshine and moonlight and fresh air will support your journey.
Choose places this month that nurture and support your soul. This could be the beach or a library. Your home or a theatre. The arms of a loved one, or a solitary hike in the woods.
Lastly, you are reminded to call upon nature spirits. The energy of trees, the fairy kingdom, the moon and the stars and the sun and the oceans. Use flower remedies and crystals this month. Go for walks, or sit with your back pressed up against a tree.
August is a month for finding new rhythm in your life. For stepping out and not looking back. For trusting yourself and your dreams. For truly putting space between you and the past. one small step at a time.

I have faith in you. Now it’s time to have a little faith in yourself. Don’t overwhelm yourself with a million changes and complex tasks. Just put one foot in front of the other. Little things add up to big changes over time. Be gentle with yourself. Be consistent. Test those new wings. And get ready to fly!
Much love to you,
Nicole <3 xx

Hi Cheryle This post is timely following the blue moon ritual last night. From a very jet lagged, knackered and broken footed Elle http://www.pembertonmassage.com.au
