Through each crisis in my life, with acceptance and hope, in a single defining moment, I finally gained the courage to do things differently.Sharon E. Rainey
At the beginning of every month, I discuss the energies and gifts of the month ahead and how we can best use them to make our lives satisfying, meaningful and productive.
I also choose a card to support the energies of the month. The deck I am using this year is the Native Spirit Oracle by Denise Linn, and October’s card is MEDICINE BAG.
October is an action-filled month that brings both crisis and healing. Bottom line? Your world needs to be sustainable. If it’s not working, it needs to be fixed. The energies may feel confronting, but if you embrace action and dive right in you’ll amaze yourself at what you achieve.
It’s a month for learning and teaching, for diagnosing and fixing what is broken, for offering to help others, and for bringing insight and wisdom to everything you do.
It’s a month to work on long-standing problems, and to find solutions that can bring lasting results. Expect a sense of urgency that is infused with inspiration, clarity and purpose.
Seek out people who can help you – this could be for tech support, health support, someone to clean your house, do your tax, or build your website. Stop trying to do everything yourself, and focus on the things only you can do.
Think about how to create sustainability in everything you do.
October reminds you that you are directly affected by your habits, your thoughts, your relationships, your environment. Keep asking yourself if your life is manageable, and if it works for you. If it doesn’t then work on it, change it, or simplify it until it does. In some circumstances you’ll also see that walking away is the solution, and that’s okay too.
You’ll begin to understand that creating a purposeful life that is sustainable and meaningful is the most important work you can do. You’ll feel a growing empowerment, and you won’t be afraid to make big decisions this month.
I’ll be quiet on social media the next few days. The borders between QLD and NSW opened at 1am this morning, so today is a family reunion for Ben and me, and Harry and Rufous.
I can’t wait to see them. What a glorious way to start October.
Wishing you a fabulous month of healing and the creation of sustainability, Nicole xx
