“Everything comes gradually and at its appointed hour.”

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using the Sacred Destiny Oracle by Denise Linn for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is PATIENCE.
2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.
September is a month for healing the past, for moving beyond your old hurts and insecurities, and for creating changes that will lead to your life feeling and working better.
PATIENCE
This is a great week for developing clear future vision and for believing in yourself and your dreams. You’ll be able to build on what you have already decided or created for yourself this year, aided by a deep knowing and intuition. Signs and messages are all around you, so trust your intuition!
PATIENCE wants you to understand that, very often, the thing you want can take time. That’s okay. The most important thing is to think carefully, and create a strong plan, and then patiently work that plan. Patience brings rewards. So be strategic and don’t give up.
This isn’t a time to race ahead , or for quick results, but it’s a wonderful time to plan for longer-term goals and to commit to results which might be slow to achieve. PATIENCE brings a message that there can be great power and peace in going slowly and not giving up. Consistent small steps and patience can change your life, so don’t worry about the speed of your progress, just be committed to your plan and then trust in positive outcomes.
This week, working slowly and consistently, and with good planning, you’ll get much more achieved than you ever thought possible. Being slow, strategic and methodic will create real and tangible progress.
Your intuition will be on high alert too, so trust your own gut instincts over experts and gurus.
PATIENCE also has a special message for those who are ready. Change your story, even if it’s just the one you are telling yourself in your head, and it will change your life. Are you ready to step into a bigger, wiser and more open version of yourself?
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead
Remember to relax and enjoy the journey. When we are patient, we perfect our craft. We grow, and learn and develop all manner of new talents and insights. We gain mastery. It’s never just about the destination – and it’s always about the becoming… Look after your processes and the results will take care of themselves. Make a wish for yourself and then set about making it come true. The power is within you!
Crystals to support you this week – Carnelian, Epidote, Labradorite, Citrine, Pyrite, Sunstone
So, yeah. I know I’ve been quiet. Sorry.
You know whenever that happens that my health has tanked.
I’ve somehow lost a week or more to illness. Not Covid or Flu or RSV (my doctor checked), but some kind of respiratory thing – mixed in with a thyroid complication after recent tests – that absolutely flattened me, required urgent medical intervention at its worst, and stole my voice to boot.
I’ve spent days in bed (days that had previously been allocated a veritable avalanche of busy-ness), I’m still mostly in bed, and my voice is a croak when I want it to be a roar.
And Ben and I go away for our big overseas holiday adventure at the crack of dawn on Sunday…
Meanwhile, my ridiculous to-do lists remain mostly unticked.
I’ve only just unpacked my bag from the writing conference.
A literary agent asked me to submit (yay) and I’ve been too ill to even think, let alone sit in front of a computer.
I have no idea how to pack for a trip that will include Alaska AND Hawaii. My poor foggy brain gets stuck on the cold and then hot thing and so far my list includes toothpaste, undies, swimmers, meditation crystal, journal, thermals, laptop. Yep. That’s it. Great list, Nicole. 🤣
I have a mountain of things to do, and really, all I want to do is sleep.
I’m hoping that somehow, miraculously, I will get all the important things done between now and then, recover my voice, and find my mojo.
Still, if I don’t, Ben reminds me that I can buy what I need when we arrive overseas because other countries have shops, and I can finish my submission to the agent while on the trip. Which is true. It’s just stressful to my Virgo brain, because I like to be the Queen of Organised.
In a happier announcement, I have just received my advance copies of the Tenth Anniversary Edition of The Journeymaker’s Planner for 2025 – and they are gorgeous. The remainder of the boxes are being freighted by sea as I write this, and will be available through Amazon USA, Amazon Australia, my Etsy shop and my own new online store in October. We will, of course, also have editable PDF versions too in A4 and US Letter size for those of you who love working via a digital copy.
I’ll attach a pic below, because I feel like such a proud Book Mum.
If you have any packing tips, let me know.
Much love, a mostly empty suitcase, and a serious anxiety around getting stuff done before I go, Nicole xx
PS – stay tuned in October for some great competitions and give-aways around this next edition of the Planner!
PPS – Today would have been my beloved Nana’s birthday. She and I were the ‘September Girls’, with our birthdays just 4 days apart. I will be celebrating that, and my great love for her, with a toasted sandwich and a pot of tea, followed by a piece of cake, because these were her favourite things. You never stop missing the people you love. That’s okay by me. My heart’s big enough for the grief (even after all this time) as well as the love and the happy memories.
Love you, Nana💗✨💗✨💗✨

and LOVE ❤️
I have felt unwell and it makes reading and commenting on blogs difficult, I hope you feel better soon
Hi Nic,
So sorry to hear that you have had a tough week. Don’t stress about the to do list / when I was sick and hit the wall I just surrendered. The biggest relief.
Quite a Sedna word. I’m studying Dearf Planets atm with the Dearf Planet University, I’d be fascinated to see where your Sedna is in your chart.
Hang in there. You are so blessed to have Ben for unwavering support.
Big love Sally 🥰
That was a beautiful tribute to your Nana & I feel the same way about my Mom!🥰I’m sorry you’ve been ill but try to enjoy your vacation & not stress! Thank you for the message about patience because I have some things going on in my life that require a lot of patience! You are the best & I’m so grateful for you!🤗
