You are a work in progress, which means you get there a little at a time, not all at once.”

Hello, Lovelies!
This Quarter I am using the Sacred Earth Oracle by Toni Carmine Salerno and Leela J. Williams, illustrated by Helena Nelson-Reed, for my weekly oracle readings.
Our card to guide us for the week ahead is CONTEXT.
2025 is a year for pattern breaking, deep healing, mysticism and new directions.
March is a month for aligning to your dreams, a time of opportunity, creativity and possibility. It’s a month that asks for action, commitment and the courage to make yourself, your needs and your projects a priority.
CONTEXT
2025 is a big year of pattern-breaking and healing. That’s important to remember this week!
Our heads so often get stuck in a rut – guiding us to do the same thing over and over, even when that no longer makes us happy. Worse, sometimes our heads convince us to do things we know will make us unhappy so that we can conform, or make others happy, or live up to some relentless idea of who we should be.
This week CONTEXT reminds us that when we listen to our hearts over our minds, and do what we love or are drawn to – whether that is a calling, a hobby or something we fit into our downtime, like music or gardening or rollerball derby or baking bread – our life becomes richer and more satisfying. We can use these experiences that enrich us to top up the well of love inside us from which we give to others, and that also feeds our creative acts. This prevents us from burning out, running dry or moving into overwhelm and resentment.
And for some of you, quite literally, listening to the wisdom of your heart this week might save your life.
This week give thought to the relationships, activities and places that nourish and nurture you. Think about how you can incorporate these into your life on a regular basis. This kind of self-care can be life-changing as it moves you back into energetic flow and aligns you with what matters most to you. This week tune in to your heart’s yearnings, and make room for them in your life. Time marches on, and you will never have this day again. Every day you do not do the things in your heart is a day lost to you, and we are never promised tomorrow.
Maybe the Universe is really shaking things up for you right now. That’s okay. Stop clinging to the old. It’s time to move forward in a way that better aligns with your heart and soul. Deep down you know this to be true.
When we begin to live from a place of honouring our own needs, and become happier as a result of better boundaries, self-care and engaging in activities that nourish us we become magnetic to better opportunities, love, synchronicity and magic. All because we moved into flow…..
PS – Remember to rest too – a little or a lot, whatever you need!
My Top Tip For The Week Ahead:
It’s not enough to listen to your heart this week – you need to act on the wisdoms it shares with you. It’s a beautiful week for any kind of creative venture so bake, paint, craft, play, make, learn, write, and create. Or go one further and sign up to a creative class or carve out some dedicated time and space for your art. Make a deliberate effort to nurture your heart space in the coming days. Do things that fill you up. Make time for yourself and your dreams, and for doing what you love. This is especially important if your life is stressful and demanding. And remember that what we focus on, multiplies. So focus on what makes you happy and what helps you to feel good about your life. Take your focus away from your problems and look to solutions or something that can bring an energy of gratitude to your life.
Crystals to support you this week – Amethyst, Moonstone, Selenite, Rose Quartz, Smoky Quartz, Tiger Eye
Here at the Treehouse I’ve had a quiet week of Lyme treatment, writing and resting. It’s all I can do right now, and that’s okay. It has given me plenty of time for reflection around pattern-breaking, and thinking deeply about how I want my life to be over the coming decades.
One thing I am certain of – I can’t do hustle culture, I can’t keep up with my able-bodied and goal-hungry entrepreneurial cohort anymore, and I don’t want to. Instead I am fully embracing disablement, chronic illness and the limitations of my body.
At heart I’m an artist and creative. Words are my soul language, and all I want to do is get my fiction and non-fiction books and courses created. That’s the kind of life that works best for me. Gentle discourse with my online community, work with my Planner, time with my members, and lots of time to sit, reflect, journal and write.
I don’t think it serves any of us to hustle and push ourselves, especially as a way of life.
I truly hope that kind of thinking, and this idea of valuing someone based on how economically productive they are, how much money they make, and how they look, disintegrates and is replaced with something more worthy of humanity.
(Told you I have been doing a lot of deep thinking! ❤️)
I’ve also been thinking about odd things.
Like the lack of bugs.
I remember growing up, and in my twenties, where a road trip always necessitated many wash-downs of the windscreen to get rid of smashed bugs.
I remember sitting in gardens and being entranced by all the moths and beetles and butterflies and dragonflies and bees that zipped around the flowers and foliage.
Where did they all go?
What will the birds and bats and other creatures eat if we have a bug-free world? How will things be pollinated?
(I just paused in writing my blog to make a note to myself about planting more insect and butterfly-friendly indigenous plants in the garden.)There are still things we can do, and it’s never too late to make a difference. I have a rainforest sanctuary on my doorstep, and the caretakers there have put a huge effort into replanting birdwing butterfly vine. As a result the birdwing butterfly is a regular visitor to my home garden, and we have planted birdwing vines in our little patch of rainforest for them too. It’s so heartening to see them! In the four years I have lived here their numbers have increased every season. Hooray! 🦋❤️🙏🏼✨
I’ll include a short video on the birdwing butterfly below for you. They are magnificent, and I am grateful to share space with them. Maybe there is something you can do, close to your own home, to support the flora and fauna that make your part of the world unique.
Wishing you a week of self-care, self-love and love and kindness to the world around you, Nicole xx

I would love to know the indigenous plants recommendations for butterflies. I have one they like, but would love more. Like you all, it brings me happiness seeing the butterflies in my garden.
I find local plant nurseries and garden clubs always know!
Nicole how do you pray? How do you connect with god, the universe or however you name it? What is your method?
I feel that I am somehow not able to tune in the right frequency.
Hi Caroline, I tune in with my heart, get quiet and calm and then speak with the Universe directly through my thoughts. Sometimes I will call on my Angels, Guides or loved ones who have crossed over. I always trust that I will be connected to a loving and supportive energy, and then I am! I sometimes use the term God, but not in the way that a prescribed religion might. For me, God is an all-encompassing energy of pure love, not connected to any one faith or ideology. Play around with it until you find something that works for you. Much love, Nicole xx
How lucky are we to have such beautiful creatures in our backyard? I have also planted a vine next to my little cottage and one flitted by the other day to lay her egg right next to my window. It made my day x
Tallulah!!!! That’s wonderful. Made my heart happy to read this 💖
Thank you sweet… what a wonderful world we have… in all its paces and manifestations. So much we can do and share… so much we can contribute to manifesting more joy and peace.
My heart was gladdened and made more joyful yesterday watching a group of butterflies dancing gleefully.
My new home is being prepared for me to set down some roots… all my loves (crystals, flower essences, paintings and gorgeous rugs) stored in the garage… awaiting release from their long storage. So excited to feel them near… even still wrapped securely in their boxes. Their energy brings rebirth to this. new beginning. Joyful to be together again… it’s been a very long two years. Heartbreak and much demanded of me… with my dear brothers departure.
Thank you lovely… ❤️🌺🌺❤️
Marilyn, I am wrapping you up in hugs, love and light. How wonderful it will be for you to finally put roots down and have all your things around you after such a difficult few years. Thanks for the update. I truly appreciate it ❤️🙏🏼✨
