Let The Light In – Monday Oracle 23 December 2024

Hello, Lovelies!

This Quarter I am using the Queen Of The Sun Oracle by Stacey Demarco, illustrated by Kinga Britschigi, for my weekly oracle readings.

Our card to guide us for the week ahead is 35. HOPE (YULE).

2024 is a year for fresh starts, for creativity, healing and social connection. It’s a year for ambitious projects and for getting stuff done.

December is a month for dancing with the Universe, for letting your hair down, relaxing, celebrating, connecting, daydreaming about the future, and tuning in to your wise self. A good time to tie up loose ends. Rest and retreat where needed.

35. HOPE (YULE).

This week brings beautifully reassuring energies. Stay open as a flow of healing energy, love, compassion and inspiration comes your way. It’s a week to let the Light in, so open your heart to the Universe.

If you’ve been holding on by your fingernails, or waiting for clarity and direction, expect hope and answers to come to you in unexpected and even delightful ways. Things might not be completely healed or sorted this week, but you will see how to move ahead at last. Expect glimpses of a better future, and something different to your current stuckness, that is more aligned with the new and evolved version of yourself who is moving toward you now.

Where things have been awful, wretched, and seemingly broken beyond repair, Universal Grace reaches out her hand and touches everything with love and light, creating possibility where there had been only misery.

Can’t remember when you last laughed or what makes you happy? This week gifts you a remembering of your soul truth. No matter what is happening in the world, love and laughter and gratitude is necessary to life. We are nothing without that light inside us. You’ll begin to know what that light is once more.

Stay in your body. Look through your eyes. Put your hand on your heart and simply breathe in the moment. Do all you can to stay present, because your power in in the moment – not the past, not the future – your power is in the NOW.

Seek out moments of joy, pleasure and gratitude. Ground yourself in the moment and don’t let your mind go racing ahead. For no reason at all, you’ll just feel a bit better, sleep a little more soundly, feel a little less flat and restless.

My Top Tip For The Week Ahead: 

Find ways to bring simple beauty into your life – a flower in a jam jar beside your bed, a candle at the dinner table, fragrant soap for your shower, clean towels or sheets, a splash of colour in your outfit, a splash of fragrance at your wrists and collarbones, a smile and a genuine twinkle of love in your eye.

Here at the Treehouse we’re getting ready for Christmas. I may not have made fruitcakes this year, but I did make rum balls to distribute to the local community who have supported us with their products and services in 2024. It’s such an easy recipe, so if you want to make some for yourself, you can find all the details here. I was very grateful for Ben’s assistance as Chief Taste Tester, and his magnificent skills at rolling the rum balls in coconut!

I’ve also made Ben’s favourite Christmas dessert – Ice Cream Plum Pudding. Incidentally, this was the inaugural post on my blog, back in December 2011. It’s not too late to make your own. You’ll find that blog post and recipe here.

This week I’ll be spending a little time with family and friends, and also just hanging out at home with Ben and the dogs, watching Christmas movies, reading books, journalling and going for beach walks and swims. The idea of a slow week is thrilling. I have so much sleep to catch up on!

My new Planner is calling to me, as I finish up the year in my current one. I love being able to use both of them in that crossover period at the end of a year and the beginning of a new one. I also have my previous planners out, as I review 2024 and look for patterns in previous years that I want to address and do better at in 2025. In fact I’m toying around with the phrase Do Better or Choose Better as my ‘word’ for the year in 2025 – a year with potent energies for healing and change.

I put love and magic into every order – especially at Christmas time. I realised some time ago that for many of my community, my Planner and anything else they bought from me might be the only gift they received.
