Let the Teacher appear…

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined. ~ Henry David Thoreau

If you have a dream, chances are you’ll need help to get there. Whether you want to write a book, climb a mountain, win Olympic Gold, speak a new language or improve your health, your best bet will be to attract a good teacher into your life – one who will believe in you, and have the ability to help you to grow and to shine.

Sometimes the only thing that holds you back from success is not a lack of talent or good ideas, it’s a lack of knowledge, skills or techniques.  But that doesn’t have to be an obstacle – trust that there truly is someone or something out there in the Universe that can help you bridge that knowledge gap. Someone will have walked that road before you, and they’ll be willing to show you how to follow in their footsteps…

You might need a coach, a mentor or a teacher. Maybe a course or a book will help.  It might even be a job, a radio interview you just happen to tune in to, a magazine article or a useful suggestion from a stranger.

Know that the Universe is listening, and that it responds to your call.

Let the Universe know that you’re ready.  Ask for support.  Ask to be shown.  And then trust that the perfect person or information will show up in your life.

I’ve created a short guided meditation to faciltate this process, and help you draw that teacher or resource to you.  All you need to do is listen, and stay open to the possibility of help turning up in your life:

Nicole Cody’s Guided Meditation for calling Teachers into your life

Believe in yourself.  Believe in your dreams.  Allow yourself to be magnetic to change and growth.  Now is your time to shine! ♥ xx

Hi! I'm Nicole Cody. I am a writer, psychic, metaphysical teacher and organic farmer. I love to read, cook, walk on the beach, dance in the rain and grow things. Sometimes, to entertain my cows, I dance in my gumboots. Gumboot dancing is very under-rated.

  1. You Nicole are one of my teachers, so is Doe from thehiyL.com (I’m glad to see you shared one of her posts here), and Jodi from healnowandforever.net, and many others. I chose my teachers to be Bloggers and friends, and the progress I am making is amazing. Thank you

  2. Can’t wait to do the meditation!!! I was thinking thought.. That is one area in my life that has always very strong for me.. I have been abundantly blessed with the timing and teachers that have appeared for me in my life.. When other areas in my life appeared to be so out of flow… Never realised until I read your post.. It’s amazing how it all unfolds and all is meant to be..xxx

    1. See, so if it works in one area of your life, it will work in other areas too. I just made another new one I’m quite fond of: “I’m always winning things!” It makes me feel like a cheeky, grinny, excited kid. Yay for that 😀 xxx

  3. I’m speechless. It’s been a long day, a long week, and a busy month. It’s darn hard sometimes to remember your dreams and goals after you are sapped of energy. This is why I really appreciated this post. So, thanks. 🙂

    1. Jeannie, all I’ve ever wanted to do is support, uplift and encourage people, to let them know that they are not alone in this journey we all take through life, and that there is love for them here. Thanks for sharing the road with me. Bless xoxo

  4. Thank you Nicole…this is a wonderful post….it reminded me of a quote from eecummings…”we do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us, something something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves
we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.” I had put that on a card a few months ago, and was filled with thanks that I had received that nurturing from another…. but then I added a slight revision too…’we do not believe in ourselves until WE believe that deep inside us…. “….it’s such a special quote that I just made it into a post…thank you for the reminder and so many good ideas…the guided meditation is lovely too… : )

    1. Hi Nicole…in the comments part of that post, several people pointed out that other bloggers have been such a precious part of encouraging them…and as I looked back at the eecummings poem…I realized, after reflecting on those ideas, that is the process I was writing about…that’s what has happened to me on my own blog….(!!!) …and many others on their blogs, too…the support and encouragement leading to me/us developing the “belief” in ourselves and starting to share our own curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight… isn’t that something!?!?…all of us being teachers and mentors, just like you write about here…. : ) …..encouraging the wonderful expression of the human spirit! wow! : )

  5. I documented in my journal a few months back that I was ready for God to guide me to teachers and new like minded friends…God knows me so well to know that as an introvert, these teachers and friends should come in my life by way of WordPress. 🙂

  6. Nicole I truly know that you have surfaced back into my life for just that reason – I have more to learn from you, you are a wonderful inspiring teacher your words that you gave me over a decade ago still ring joyfully, you were the first person to make me believe in myself and to explore my talents.

I thankyou, I feel you, your beautiful laugher still rings in my ears from the first time I met you.

I also know I won’t leave where I am until climb this final mountain, but I am not afraid.

Thankyou, bless you and have a glorious day..

    Much love

    Lynette xxxx

  7. Wonderful post and meditation, Nicole. It’s interesting that when I was healthy and working 50-60 hour weeks, life was so busy, but not filled with the things that made my heart sing. Since my health has declined so drastically these past 10 years and I am now disabled, I have focused so much more on what my heart and soul has always desired … and even through the struggles, I finally believe ………. xoxox

  8. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined. ~ Henry David Thoreau .. my boyfriend’s oldest daughter has had this posted in her room since i’ve known her.

She looks to authors for leadership. Too bad she doesn’t blog … she’d be inspired. She was the original owner of Harper, my heart. All things are connected in some bogus way, yes?

  9. This is so true Nicole. Lately I have been asking the Universe and really putting out there my need for teachers/mentors. In the last few weeks two amazing people have appeared for me. It really works.

  10. I love this. I met someone two days ago who I am hoping will take on the role of informal coach for me – and I’ve found someone else who is also doing that for me. The universe really does answer your requests in this way … now I just have to be able to take in what they can teach me!

  11. Biggest of smiles when I saw the topic for today…..yes I am ready….yes my teacher has appeared….yes for them knowing that this student is ready for the lessons…blessings to U..X

    1. Thank you for sharing your visions and thoughts. I was taught a long time ago that every heartbeat writes our story, thus, we must make our story worth the pen.

  12. I think this is a very important message. Help came to me a couple of years ago when I was looking for something but not entirely sure what it was or how to get it. I’m indebted to so many people – friends, relatives, writers, musicians, any number of people who’ve given me guidance and advice often without even knowing it. As you say, it’s the magnetism thing at work, if you focus on it, it comes to you. I’m off to listen to your meditation now, thank you. 🙂

    1. Thanks Nicole, that’s a nice way of putting it, it’s comforting to think of being part of a helpful community that gives and takes. A big hug to you too! xo
